November 2, 2015 was held the meeting of Minister of education and science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit, with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of great Britain to Ukraine Judith Gough.
The meeting was attended by Director of the British Council Simon Williams and Deputy Director Natasha Vasylyuk. Serhiy Kvit thanked for assistance that the British Council is providing Ukrainian teachers will improve teaching English language in schools, and expert assistance of British experts in the process of implementatsii of the law of Ukraine “On higher education”, reports the website of the Ministry.
Serhiy Kvit also noted that this year the Ministry began summer camps for pupils of General secondary schools.
The Minister informed the British side that the Ministry of education and science has prepared and submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine three bills aimed at changes in overall average, professional and scientific spheres.
British Ambassador Judith Gough showed his support for the reforms introduced by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine and assured that the Embassy of great Britain in the future will continue to provide expert assistance in the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.
With the aim of deepening cooperation between Ukraine and the British Council will sign a new Memorandum of understanding and cooperation during the planned visit of Sergey Kvit in London in early December 2015.
