Elliot Davis has published online a detailed photo report from a Korean subway.
The metro station is a kind of “Museum” North Korea – all portraits and sculptures of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-UN, images of red flags, mosaics on the walls.
The traveler was able to visit the first group of tourists permitted to visit all the metro station in Pyongyang. Previously, foreigners were allowed to explore only two stations. As Elliot writes, because of this arose the myth that metro in North Korea is not, as between the two stations go actors.
Only in Pyongyang’s two metro lines and 16 stations. This metro – the deepest in the world (110 meters under the ground). It began in 1973.
