The U.S. defense Department is preparing to send to Ukraine radar station of early warning that the proposal to approve the White house.
It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to The Wall Street Journal.
“The proposal still requires approval from the White house, which is considering a package of non-lethal assistance to Ukraine. However, discussions are occurring simultaneously with increasing pressure on Washington to help Kiev fight Russian aggression”, — stated in the material edition.
As the newspaper notes, “new radar” needs to help Kyiv in fighting with artillery, using the rebels.
The publication stresses that the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama, as before, opposes granting Ukraine military assistance. “But senior administration officials claim that this long-range radar is not considered as offensive or lethal (weapons) and can match the current policy on Ukraine”, — writes the edition.
Recall that the U.S. army General mark Bill on Wednesday during a meeting of the Senate Committee on the armed forces stated that Russia is the number one threat and the U.S. should “seriously consider” providing lethal weapons to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.
Earlier it was reported that the USA gave Ukraine 5 speed boats for the special forces.
